Bradfield Park

This is a classic favourite spot to spend NYE with a stunning Vantage point. Bradfield park offers views of the eastern and western sides of the Sydney Harbour bridge. Hence, you can view most of the fireworks display. Some of the restrictions apply here is No BYO and needed a booking via the government web site!
Note : The spot is free to enter but highly congested.

Mrs. Macquarie’s Point

The Domain viewing area at Mrs Macquarie’s Point is available to the general public for an entry donation on New Year’s Eve, which supports the work of our science, horticulture and conservation projects. Many people to heads this side but note, it will be highly congested. Please note there are no pass outs. Queuing for this site starts from 7.00 am on Monday 31 December 2018. Security bag checks will be in operation at the access point gate on Art Gallery Road and restricted items will not be permitted.

Barangaroo Reserve

Barangaroo offers excellent views of Balmain, Goat Island, Balls Head, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This is not a free area as such Bradfield Park to celebrate New Year’s Eve Sydney. Therefore, you need to purchase a ticket. The venue opens from 6 pm and a no BYO drinks policy applies.

Royal Botanic Garden

Bennelong lawn area of the Royal Botanical Garden is a gorgeous spot to bring in the New Year. This NYE Vantage point opens from 6 pm to public with No BYO alcohol restrictions. The biggest disadvantage of this point that it offers partial views of the NYE fireworks.

Taronga Zoo NYE Event

If you are feeling like doing something a little more exclusive this New Years Eve, a great place to celebrate is at Taronga Zoo. This venue gives unobstructed views of the harbour. The venue opens from 6 pm and it applies no BYO policy. The Zoo has tickets available ranging from $200 – $600 per person. This includes best views can Sydney offer, secure on-site parking, live entertainment, and premium food hampers. Parking won’t be secured on-site and you may have to park at Spit Junction. The Gold Reserve ticket is the best in terms of affordability and amenities. Parking is guaranteed on-site and magnificent views of New Years’ Eve Sydney fireworks.

Luna Park

Luna Park Sydney is another premium ticketed event if you want to bring in 2020 in style.Party in five-star luxury with the best views of the fireworks. The options are to purchase a VIP ticket and it typically includes decadent canapés, a carvery and a flowing drinks package.

Sydney Opera House

Finally, the best of the best!Sip Prosecco and enjoy a delicious meal overlooking Sydney Harbour. Sydney Opera house offers a couple of options to celebrate NYE and those are pre-performance dinner or a midnight party. Ticket sales started in June this year so as it stands now, tickets are limited and priced at a premium. Think a magnificent 6 hour event at Portside NYE party. Whoever secured a ticket, will capture the best fireworks while enjoying roaming canapés and non-stop entertainment at Opera House.
