Surf and sand

With 57 kilometres of coastline free for your enjoyment, you’ll be spoilt for choice when picking a spot to park yourself for some sunshine, sand and surf. Australian beaches are packed with activity: you can surf, sail, swim or simply sunbathe.

Everyone finds their own fun along the bays – whether you’re on the beach or around it! The gold coast is a buzzing hive of cute cafes and eateries, and you’ll find endless coastal walks to wander with views to die for.

You’ll also have plenty of healthy options, as Australia’s Gold Coast caters for all kinds of foodie cravings!

Fantastic news for fitness fans

There’s an extremely pumped and motivated sense of activity in Australia’s Gold Coast. Coastal walks and beaches are abundant with runners and joggers, and you’ll find convenient little workout parks dotted along the walkways. You can jog and stop for a few reps, then continue to a lookout point to take in the views with your breather.

One Australian must-do for fitness fans is a sunrise or sunset walk/jog/run along the Coogee to Bondi walkway: a favorite fitness activity of Australia’s own Hugh Jackman!

Cyclist’s paradise

They say the best way to see the bays is on the back of a bike! Cycle your way through each of the Gold Coast’s unique neighbourhoods. Pedal past Surfers Paradise all the way to posh Broadbeach. Stop anywhere along your ride to pop in for a drink and a bite to eat before you set off again!

Adventure in Australia

Leave the beach at bay for a bit as you escape to a totally different terrain. You can explore a different, greener side of Australia in the Great Hinterland Walk.

Start by passing through World Heritage rainforests: Lamington and Springbrook. You’ll witness an ancient volcano and a picturesque waterfall amid the towering trees and lush native greenery.
