Family Holiday in a Home Verse a Hotel

So you have decided on Sydney for your summer family getaway and now you are tossing up between booking a holiday home or a hotel room. There are huge advantages as to why booking a holiday home is more beneficial. Here are the top reasons.

When travelling with children, whether babies, pre-schoolers or school aged kids, the luxury of space is one you will appreciate. You will be able to put children down for a nap without interrupting everyone. In one singular hotel room, this could be tricky. In a holiday home, you are able to put the children to sleep and enjoy the outdoor patio or lounge area. Kick off your shoes and relax while your kids follow their usual bedtime routines. In one studio hotel room this would be near impossible.

Home cooking is usually a must have for children. There are only so many times as parents you will brave restaurants with kids, especially the energetic two year olds who are too young to understand dining etiquette. Booking one of our homes means you can throw some sausages on the Barbie each night and feed the children without having to play zoo keeper.

Room! Room! And more room!! Kids are noisy and often pretty full on. Cooped up in a hotel room wouldn’t be fun for them (or you!). Plenty of our holiday homes have beautiful gardens so the kids can kick a ball and run free, while you laze on a sun lounger with a Pina colada.

Some properties even have swimming pools and tennis courts so those looking for water fun holidays will be in their element.

Believe it or not, it works out cheaper to rent a holiday home. Even if it means spending slightly more on accommodation, it means you have the room to enjoy the home. Wake up in the morning and lounge outside for the day by the pool. No need to even leave the property. If staying in a hotel, daily activity costs would begin to stack up, as the need to take the kids out for daily entertainment would no doubt be required. Stuck in a hotel room with active kids doesn’t sound like a particularly enjoyable holiday, does it?
